Eight Massachusetts communities (Belchertown, East Longmeadow, Hampden, Longmeadow, Monson, Palmer, Springfield, and Wilbraham) are participating in an energy saving initiative within the Mass Save® Home Energy Services Program. The community-based initiative, called Home MPG (“miles per gallon”), uses one simple number, called an “Energy Performance Score” (EPS), to define a home’s energy performance level.

As a participant in the HomeMPG initiative, you will receive the benefits of the Mass Save® Home Energy Services Program, PLUS BONUS INCENTIVES only available as part of the HomeMPG initiative, including:

  • A no-cost Mass Save® Home Energy Assessment to evaluate energy saving opportunities throughout your home
  • Insulation instant rebates of 75% off, up to $3750 (includes bonus incentive)
  • No-cost, targeted air sealing to stop air leaks in your attic and/or basement
  • Bonus rebates on high efficiency heating and hot water equipment
  • 0% financing opportunity for eligible improvements through the Mass Save®
  • An "Energy Performance Score"report for your home

Plus, you can start saving right away with no-cost immediate savings measures such as compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), programmable thermostats, showerheads, and faucet aerators -- installed during the Assessment, as applicable.
